In 2014, I started a bachelor's degree in neuropsychology at Concordia University with the goal of becoming a psychologist. I was also seeking counselling at this time for mental illnesses I suffered from and felt I was let down by the health care system, for many reasons, I decided to fully participate in my own recovery. It was at this time, I discovered alternative and natural medicine. My recovery journey led me to the discovery of the my passion and career choice today, which is alternative and complementary modalities which take a holistic and humanistic approach to helping others.
I became enthralled with the subconscious mind. I learned to navigate my own and spent the next years of my life healing from my own childhood trauma. I read over a hundred books on the subject, spent thousands of dollars searching for answers, used and tried countless methodologies; including hypnotherapy, energy medicine, parts work therapy and other integrative therapies and techniques. I learned everything I could and didn’t waste a waking moment. With these years of study and applying healing methods on myself, I succeeded; one symptom at a time.
Through trial and error, learning curves and pure dedication to the process, I have been freed from four medical diagnostics and their associated medications; OCD, ADHD, Clinical Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder all dating back to childhood. It was a journey and a lifestyle that I was called to commit to. It was messy yet beautiful and prepared me for a very purposeful career.
I discovered my calling through this journey, which is to be a stepping stone in the healing and empowerment journey of others. With this, I set out to gain the formal education and credentials to fulfill this new path because I wanted to take an approach to help people with their health and wellness in holistic way; that is to say; I care for people in a way which attends to a whole person and work with the different levels of body, mind, and heart. In this way, I help people align with their unique spirit and can help alleviate their suffering and empower them for positive change.
NOTE: This is my personal experience using these modalities and I am in no way saying this will be your experience by participating in the services that I offer.
Today, I still commit to growing and healing through these modalities because they are so effective. It is not something that is said and done in life, ever, nor should it be, because life is about growing. However, the better it gets, the better it gets.
I want to deeply and whole heartedly thank the practitioners who have worked with me, the authors of the books I've read & courses I've taken, my family & friends who are there for me during tough times and my loving husband who has been the perfect, unconditional, healing partner of this lifetime.
